<br />
She's not a big scary nightmare, she's just a little one. She might be more like a dream .... If you dream of horses, you might dream of one like this. She's just fun to see.<br />
<br />
This original painting was created using a faux encaustic technique with many layers of collage, mediums, paper and paint. When you look at the painting you see down through the layers. She is also covered with texture. The surface of this painting is amazing to feel!<br />
<br />
The original painting is for sale and will be posted in my Etsy shop. I'll post a link to her, once she is there.The painting itself, is 7X10", float mounted into a 14X16 " frame.<br />
<br />
She's on a postage stamp at Zazzle to be purchased to add a special quality to notes you might send to your friends. If you'd like something special and unique, she's for you.<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoy her.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After many years of looking at my reference photo library to create horse paintings, I decided to turn myself free and paint what comes directly from my heart. No need to look for the perfect photo of the perfect horse in the perfect pose. Just take out brushes and paint, create a back ground and put a horse on it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wow!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love doing these. I had no idea how fun it could be to sit down and let your muse take over. The horses each seem to be a "character" of some sort.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I don't plan ahead, I don't think what colors should I use, I don't think how is this horse going to look, until the exact moment I'm placing paint on paper. Each piece is it's own unique being you won't find anywhere else.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
They're composed of many layers of paint and the surface is complex and rich.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you've enjoyed seeing them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thank you for stopping by.</div>

(yes, I put together the stretcher bars, and cut the canvas, and stretched it to the bars. Very hands on work of art!)</p> <p>Since the passing of my artist grandmother, I have her supplies and materials. So I’ve been stretching the rolled Linen canvas onto stretcher bars.</p> <p>I have found that I enjoy stretching my own, and building the size I want, and not relying on a store or manufacturer to decide for me. It’s rather freeing, and feels a lot more like a hands on experience and piece of art!</p> <p><br>I worked up this painting, from a reference photo I took on my trips out to New Mexico.</p> <p><br>Purchase inquiries welcome. <div style="text-align: center;">
"First Snow of the Season"</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
9X12 inch painting on Yupo paper</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is a painting, created with Ranger Alcohol Inks, by Tim Holtz. A friend of mine encouraged me to try this medium, I tried it, I didn't like it. The inks are very runny, spread quickly, and make a big dark line around where they are put onto paper or tile. They seemed very obnoxious to me!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But I didn't give up, I thought about the inks for a year, and I think I found a new way to work with the inks that I liked. This painting is the result. I'm glad I didn't give up on the inks, I'm glad I found a new way to work with them, that suits me. I liked this horse! She reminds me of the way my Stormy looks at the snow in winter.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This painting is going to appear in an ebook that showcases Alcohol Ink artists.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I hope you enjoy seeing it!</div>

Sincerely,</div>

The group started out as a handful of equine artists from the USA, Canada and Australia, who wanted a place to network, share, and have an online community and professional presence. The Organization is based in the USA, but to accommodate those two other Countries, "International" was added to the Business Name. As the group became more popular, more artists from many different Countries around the globe requested to join. The membership has blossomed into a wonderfully diverse group of artists. <p><u>INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM OF ART CONTACTS: </u><br>Carolyn Casarez, Director<br>Oscar Navarro, Community Engagement Manager<br><a href="mailto:iavatx@aol.com">iavatx@aol.com</a> <p>915 543 6747 <p><a href="http://www.internationalmuseumofart.net">www.internationalmuseumofart.net</a> <p>All Works are for sale through the Museum. <p>Participating Signature Member Artists: <p>Carol Walker, Sue Kroll, Nancy Christy-Moore, Deborah Flood, Carole Andreen Harris, Helen Bailey, Debby Thomas, Jonelle T.
