Little Night Mare, equine art postage stamp.
Little Night Mare
She's not a big scary nightmare, she's just a little one. She might be more like a dream .... If you dream of horses, you might dream of one like this. She's just fun to see.
This original painting was created using a faux encaustic technique with many layers of collage, mediums, paper and paint. When you look at the painting you see down through the layers. She is also covered with texture. The surface of this painting is amazing to feel!
The original painting is for sale and will be posted in my Etsy shop. I'll post a link to her, once she is there. The painting itself, is 7X10", float mounted into a 14X16 " frame.
She's on a postage stamp at Zazzle to be purchased to add a special quality to notes you might send to your friends. If you'd like something special and unique, she's for you.
I hope you enjoy her.

Fantazia by Catherin McMillan
Fantazia
Fantazia was the original drawing and painting for my watercolour Enchanted. I decided that it was too large to achieve the look I wanted in watercolour. Having made that decision I didnt want to through the original away and had a mad idea that I could rework the original drawing/painting as a mixed media work.
So meet Fantazia 17" x 23" mixed medium I wanted it to be a more fantasy style drawing hence the blues in the horse is drawn in. Expressions of interest are being taken prior to this piece being taken to an exhibition.

Welsh Cob Study

We have a coming 4 year old welsh filly [Sec. D] and she is so beautiful I feel the need to paint and draw her often. Today I did just that......I did a 8 x8 " graphite study of her eye and forelock, but it was her eye that caught my eye! This study will become a painting.
You can see more studies on my mixed media page on my website.
And when the painting of Miss Maggie is done, that will be there too.
